Well, crap. How has it already been over a week since my last post? As pathetic as it was, I don't even think it counts, and this one really won't either.
Last weekend we had Ray and Mandy's rehearsal dinner on Friday night and got to spend time with friends we don't see often enough until the wee hours of the morning. Saturday afternoon was their wedding, and it was absolutely gorgeous! (I would post some pictures, but if you remember my digital crashed and I've been using my film camera lately-I'm hoping for a new/better digital for my birthday though!). Saturday night we ate dinner at Jonathan's parent's house because Michael and his wonderful girlfriend Kim were in town.
Monday my Aunt Nancy arrived from Ohio and we had BBQ at my grandparent's for Memorial day. Since then I've been living at Minton's enjoying the oh-so beautiful new gym and napping by the pool.
As seemingly busy as the last week was, it in no way compares to the coming week. In the next few minutes, (as soon as the dryer is done), I'm heading out to my parent's house to pick up my momma, then we're heading to Longview for my cousin Lacey's graduation. We're staying the night at my grandma's house because the graduation doesn't even start until 8:00 p.m.
Monday is my birthday! My cousin Sarah is arriving from Dallas sometime Monday night to stay here for a few days and look for her wedding dress!! I'm so excited!!
Tuesday bright and early I'm taking my TExES test in Arkadelphia.
Wednesday I'm going with Sarah and my aunt Nancy to check out Prissy Chrissy for Sarah's wedding! Again, very excited!
Thursday morning Jonathan and I are leaving for Austin for Forrest and Katy's wedding (that Jonathan's a groomsman in). Thursday night I think they are doing some kind of bachelor party.
Friday we're gonig to try and do some sight-seeing in Austin and Friday night we have Forrest and Katy's rehearsal dinner.
Saturday night is the wedding that begins at 7:00. And this is where the schedule gets really crazy. Immediately following the wedding we're hightailing it back home. Hopefully we'll get here by about 3:00 a.m. to crash for a few hours.
Sunday morning we have to leave the house by 10:30 at the very latest to drive to Maumelle, Arkansas for another wedding that Jonathan's a groomsman in! Sam and Angela's wedding starts at 3:00. We're still up in the air on whether we're going to stay in Little Rock Sunday night and crash, or just go on home.
So, if you do not hear from me for the next week or so, do not become alarmed. I will probably be back in civilization/blogworld sometime around the 10th of June!
Until then, have a wonderful safe 2 weeks! I LOVE this time of year!

Dream Home Search

Well, turns out I thought of at least one thing we have been doing during my blog vacation. Last week we met with a realtor for the first time to attempt to find a house. I was so excited at first, but it turns out house hunting is no where near as fun as I thought it would be. In the past week I have been in 18 different houses, and I don't really feel like we're any closer to figuring out what we want. Our list of don't wants, is rapidly growing, however!
I think I'm too picky. Haha, can't imagine that, can you? Seriously, though. I read a LOT of magazines, and watch entirely too much HGTV. I have an big fat folder on my computer with different pictures of rooms I like that I've been thieving from non-suspecting people out in internet world for years. I would post some of said pictures on here, so you can see exactly what kind of house I have in mind, (because at this point I'm sure it only exists in my mind), but an entire copyright class in college has permanently terrified me from committing any copyright infringment.
After viewing hundreds of houses online, and these 18 in person, I've come to a very important conclusion. My dream house is not currently on the market in T-Town! Part two of my conclusion, pictures can be very, very decieving!!
I have one more random thought for the day...While watching too much tv I think I've noticed John Corbett doing Applebee's ads, and Zach Braff as the puppy from the Cottonelle ads. I could be wrong, but it definitely sounds like both of them. I have a point, I promise...
Wouldn't be great if regular people could get endorsement deals? I'm serious, if work was a little slow, and you were a touch strapped for cash; you could just do a voice over for a mediocore chain restuarant, pocket a few thousand, and call it a day.
I'm thinking that would be really nice!!
Have a great weekend!

Severe Writer's Block

So, I seem to have taken myself a little hiatus from the blog world.
Actually, that's a lie, I've religiously read everyone else's posts, I've just not posted anything myself.
I could lie again and say that I've either a.)been doing such fabulous things that I haven't had any time to blog about anything, (which I'm pretty sure y'all would see straight through that lie because I've already confessed to having plenty of time to read blogs), or b.)that most of my time on the computer has been consumed with school work, and I've just barely taken a few moments of each day to check the blogs, (and facebook, because who actually can live without checking that?).
But alas, I've decided to be completely honest with you, and admit that I haven't had crap to write about, and didn't want to bore you with such a meaningless post. Appearently, I've since given up on that courtesy, as I am currently not writing anything at all worth your while to read...
Once upon a time, long, long, ago, I actually enjoyed writing and frequently did it in my spare time. Seventeen straight years of schooling probably ruined that for me, but at least I was still writing even if I didn't enjoy it. Well, three years out of being a full-time student has, I'm convinced, robbed me of every smidge of talent I have believed I possessed back in the day. I have been attempting to write the same frickin' frackin' assignment for my alternative certification test for the past WEEK! How absolutely ridiculous is that?! Yeah, I thought so...
There once was a time, (it doesn't feel like that long ago, but could it possibly be more than 3 years ago), when I could whip out a three page paper in about 30 minutes, and usually get a decent grade. Now, I don't know if it's the grading part I'm apprehensive about that's making this process so unbelievably slow, or just that I'm sooo incredibly out of practice. Well, dear readers, this is where my story suddenly involves you, (don't you feel lucky?). Because I'm SO out of practice writing, I've decided I need to write more, and guess where my only outlet for that is? You guessed it, this blog. So, be warned/prepared for more utterly boring posts from me as I attempt to learn to write again this summer. I'm sure you're all so excited. ha!
If there's anyone still left reading this, I'm sure it's only because it bears a striking resemblance to a train wreck that you don't really want to see, but just can't turn away from), I will relieve you for the evening!
Goodnight all,
Jennifer
