Mama Bird

If you've paid super close attention, (I'm sure you haven't, you much better things to do), to the pictures I've posted for the past couple of months, you might have noticed one piece of jewelry that keeps reappearing in every. single. picture. of me.

For the past 10 or 11 years, (man I am getting OLD!), I've worn the same cross necklace just about every day of my life.  My parents got me a white gold cross on a chain for Christmas either my junior or senior year of high school, and it has gone everywhere with me since then.  I have absolutely loved it for 10 or 11 years, (I really wish I could remember which, it would make this story so much shorter!).

But, in the past couple years, Megan has posted several times about her love of an Etsy seller named Julie the Fish.  I absolutely LOVE her hand stamped jewelry and have been drooling over it ever since.

For Valentine's day this year my dear husband gave me this:

It's a Mama bird necklace with a circle charm with Henry's name on it.  I know I've used the word love about a bajillion times in already in this post, but oh my goodness I looove it so, so much!  And that's the reason it keeps reappearing in pregnant pictures...

My engagement picture is also on the chain in this picture because this was the day Henry was born and I was pumped full of at least 6 liters of fluid before my c-section so my fingers were all fat and puffy, as you can see.

Call me crazy, but this is one of my favorite pictures. ;)

P.S. No one is compensating me for writing about this, Julie the Fish doesn't know who I am, am I just smitten with a necklace and wanted to talk about it.  Also, it is crazy weird and way out of my comfort zone for me to have a post full of pictures of myself, I think I'll have to refrain from any pictures of me for the next three posts to make up for it! ha!
