When I started blogging a few years ago, absolutely no one except my family and a few friends were reading. It is absolutely astounding to me that I now have close to 170 followers and this here blog gets thousands of hits a day! I know that may not seem like a ton of followers to some of the big time bloggers, but when I had 6 followers for like a year and a half, 168 seems like a BIG number!
It also makes me a little shy. Believe it or not, I'm actually a pretty private person in real life! When no one was reading this mess of a blog, I feel like I was a lot less self-concious about what I was rambling on and on about.
So, for the past few weeks, (maybe months even, time seems to run together lately), I've really been wondering, what is it that y'all really like to read about??
While I know my family never tires of seeing pictures of my child, are y'all bored to tears with posts about him? Would you like to see more recipes? More sewing projects? More projects around the house? What kinds of posts do you most enjoy reading??
Along the same lines, is there a question, or questions that you're just dying to ask me? It can be any little thing or something more major, but I'm up for a game of 20 questions, (within reason of course)!
Lastly, even if you don't usually comment, just this once, I'd love it if you'd introduce yourself! Do you have a blog I should be reading? I don't have tons of time to read and comment on blogs lately, but if you're a regular reader and you have a blog, I'm sure we'd be friends in real life, and I'd love to check it out!
Thank ya much!
Jennifer

Count me with the family that never tires of seeing photos of Henry! Love seeing sewing projects, of course. But I also love seeing what you're doing with your beautiful home! It was such a blessing to get to stay at your house, I'm always interested to see what has changed. And I like food, even if it's not within my diet. Basically I'm just along for the ride!
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer! I'm new to your blog, but I love what I've seen so far! I guess I'm drawn to posts about sewing, house projects, and just life in general. Pictures are an added draw, and I love finding new recipes! And that little boy is just precious!
ReplyDeleteBut ultimately, you should write what you want since this outlet is probably more for you anyway. We're just along for the ride. :)
Hmm, as far as questions go, I'm not really sure! Here are a few: What's surprised you the most about being a mom? Where's your favorite place to shop? Where's your favorite place to sit at the ballpark (go Rangers!)? What blogs do you read regularly?
Okay, so I'm Heather @ anothertenmiles.blogspot.com, but I'm more of a blog stalker than writer these days. Congrats on your growing blog; keep up the good work!
Well I know you personally so Hi... I'm Tiffany! :) I love seeing pictures of Henry, food, your house... I love it all!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading the new mom posts because hello... I'm going to be a new mom soon!! I LOVED your one month must haves!! Those seem to help so much in trying to figure out what we need vs. want.
I just enjoy being able to keep up with yall since leaving HS! :) Your family is just precious!
Thanks Tiffany! Two Month Must Haves post will be up tomorrow, I'm almost finished with it! :)
DeleteYay!! I CAN NOT wait!! :)
DeleteHey Jen! I have been following your for about a year now. I first started following your blog because of all your AWESOME recipes. I was so happy for you and your husband when you learned you were expecting. It was great to follow your pregnancy & now watch sweet Henry grow. I love to see all your craft projects. Makes me wish I was as handy as you are.
ReplyDeleteI love your Henry posts! Such a cutey! I came across your site from a www.moneysavingmom.com link for your amazing chicken tortilla soup, so I would probably love more recipes!
ReplyDeleteI love reading about crafty, home things. I don't have a blog...but maybe one day! I m not yet a mother, but I love reading your product reviews.
ReplyDeleteI love recipes and home improvement projects most of all. Updates on baby are fun too! I don't have a blog of my own....I get my R&R reading and looking at others blogs! Thanks to all bloggers!
ReplyDeleteLaura
I'm a recent fan and love reading your posts about your family and your child! I have a son too, so I like seeing other moms interacting with their son. I can relate to that kind of stuff! I also love seeing new recipe ideas and craft ideas.
ReplyDeleteI have a blog that I originally started writing as a way to document my weight loss journey, but just yesterday actually I decided to transform it into a blog where I could talk about that and so much more. I don’t want to just document that part of my life when there are so many other pieces to it! So if you would like to check me out, my blog address is below. Thanks!

I've enjoyed getting to keep up with y'all since we no longer live in the same town. :) I love your recipes - I've yet to try one that we haven't liked! And, of course I like all the Henry updates. He's a pretty handsome little man!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen! I'm also a newbie to reading your blog. I was directed here by Pinterest when I followed a link to your tortilla soup. I love the posts about food, decorating (it's always nice to meet someone as in to Christmas decorations as I am!), and baby Henry. I also married my high school sweetheart in a December wedding, and I'm looking forward to having our own family some day....hopefully some of your parenting and product tips will wear off on me and I'll be that much more prepared!
ReplyDeleteHI! I've been reading your blog since just before you had henry. I love seeing pictures, and reading about your adventures! I would love to hear about your experience with cloth diapers. We're trying for baby #2, and are going to be using cloth this time, but there's just so much out there! So advice from a cloth diapering momma would be great!
ReplyDeleteI was sent here from Pinterest and I have enjoyed seeing your pregnancy progress, especially after all those years of trying. I love decorating tips and cute baby pictures!! I am also greatly intrigued by your cloth diapers and someday I hope to look back on your recommendations!
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer,
ReplyDeleteI recently started following your blog and like others, think I was connected here through Pinterest (LOVE!!). As a new mama to a beautiful baby girl (Lila Rose, born on 6/22/12), I enjoy connecting with other mamas and recently just started my own blog. I'm also way into cooking, sewing, and photography!
As for a question, what is your favorite time of day with Henry?
